Valerie Canet

MA MFT

As a recent master’s graduate, I bring a fresh perspective to the unique challenges faced by college students. My bachelor's degree in Psychology, combined with my specialized training, has equipped me to support you through the complex journey of higher education.

I'm passionate about helping college students like you build healthy relationships while maintaining your mental wellness. I understand the multifaceted stressors you face daily – from academic pressures and career uncertainties to navigating new social dynamics and personal growth. My experience working with individuals of various ages, including young adults, allows me to offer comprehensive support for the mental health concerns common among college students.

Throughout your college years, you may grapple with balancing academic demands and personal life, managing stress related to exams and coursework, or adapting to new living situations. You might also be navigating changing relationships with family, peers, and romantic partners, or exploring your identity in this new environment. I'm here to help you address these challenges and develop the skills needed to thrive both in college and beyond.

My goal is to create a supportive and positive environment where you can freely express your concerns and work towards your personal and academic goals. I recognize that college is a time of significant transition and growth, and I'm committed to helping you build resilience and develop effective coping strategies.

Together, we can work on preserving your mental wellness and relationship health while navigating the exciting and sometimes overwhelming world of college.
